Respiro

The phenomenal view from Respiro's panoramic pool is just one of the highlights of Respiro. As well as the pool area – with sunloungers that are perfect for relaxing, a portable Bluetooth speaker and a toilet – there is also a terrace on the upper level with a jacuzzi (great for unwinding in the evening) and a dining area with a sun shade. Wherever you are in the garden you are treated to some incredible views. Walk down some picturesque steps and you will find yourself in a charming barbecue area where al fresco dining is a must.

Walk straight from the terrace through bright French windows into the open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and comfortable sofas. Continuing through this bright and welcoming space you will arrive at the first two bedrooms - one ensuite double, the other a twin with two French beds. The ground floor also has large bathroom with a shower.
A beautiful spiral staircase with striking windows leads you to the first floor and the further bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms, both ensuite, and also a dressing room. The master suite is stunning – a beautiful, bright double bedroom with French windows that lead out to a balcony that stretches the whole way around the room. The sea views are magnificent and seeing Taormina from afar is magical. The bathroom is a touch of luxury, with a large hydro-massage bath and large shower.
A laundry room is found on the lower ground floor.

Beaches

There are many beaches to visit from Respiro. Isola Bella in Taormina is the most famous of the area, and it is clear to see why. This beach – found below the town and accessible via a cable car – is truly beautiful, with its pebbles and small island creating an unforgettable scene. Spend the day here under the sun and feel your cares fade away. Sicily’s east coast has many charming beaches in small towns. Giardini Naxos, Letojanni, and Santa Teresa di Riva are all superb examples, with lovely beaches, great restaurants, and fun bars. The beaches along the Rivieria dei Ciclopi should also be explored with their crystal-clear waters. 

Towns & Sights 

You can see Taormina from Respiro, so you simply have to visit this stylish town. With an incredible history that spans millennia, you should visit the Greek-Roman theatre, stroll around the beautiful town centre, take in the views, and indulge in some of the world-class restaurants. You can’t miss Etna. The volcano dominates the area and creates a unique atmosphere. Visit the Nature reserve, and the pretty towns in the foothills with their traditional atmosphere. Catania should also be on your list. Plan a day trip to Sicily’s second town and be charmed by its energy and style. 

Activities 

A cook service is a great idea during your holiday in Sicily. A local cook will prepare a delicious meal for you and your guests. If you like cooking, then a cookery lesson at the villa, or in a cookery school in the area, is also a fun option. Foodies would also enjoy a wine tour or a winery on Mount Etna, or a Street Food tour in Catania. A jeep tour to the summit of Mount Etna, or a quad tour in the Alcantara Gorges both offer an amazing dive into the area’s phenomenal nature, whilst a boat trip lets you relax on deck under the sun.
