Principe di Lumia offers the perfect location for a countryside getaway in Sicily, whilst also being close to the beach! The views from the infinity pool are something else, and the surrounding olive trees add a wonderful relaxed and authentic setting.
Principe di Lumia has a wealth of outdoor space, including a barbecue area and several furnished seating areas and dining tables, as well as comfy and spacious interiors. This villa is perfect for a holiday in Sicily where guests want to get away from it all and relax in pretty surroundings.
Surrounded by olive groves and with sea views, the outside space of Principe di Lumia offers a real Sicilian atmosphere. The infinity pool looks out towards the sea and is slightly below the villa. Walk down the few steps and you will arrive at the pool, around which there are many sunloungers and beautiful olives trees, as well as a small table and chairs.
From the pool there is a path that leads to a charming outdoor wooden table, surrounded by Mediterranean plants that is a magical spot for an evening aperitivo. This path continues down to the countryside below. A remote and fairly secluded beach can be accessed on foot (about 10 minutes) from this path (see Must Know).
Set above the pool, next to the villa is the furnished veranda. There is a comfy seating area and also a dining table for enjoying al fresco meals. An outside guest bathroom is also found in this area. There is also a separate barbecue area with dining table set away from the villa. A furnished first floor terrace with incredible sea views that can be accessed from the garden is ideal for a morning cup of coffee.
The villa owner's horse, Pulcher, also lives on the property, in stable set away from the villa, offering a glimpse into rural Sicilian life. Pulcher always becomes a firm favourite with guests at Principe di Lumia, especially with children! A stone bench is also found in the garden. With its sea views, and peaceful ambiance, this is a wonderful spot for a moment of quiet contemplation.
Walk straight into the villa's bright and friendly living area. Divided into two sections, there is a small dining table, and comfy sofas around a traditional fireplace. A furnished terrace overlooking the pool can be reached through French windows. The traditional kitchen - decorated in blue Sicilian tiles - is next to the living area and has all you need for your holiday. There are two ensuite bedrooms (one double, one with bunk beds) on the ground floor. Another bathroom with shower is found by the living area.
Two further double bedrooms are found on the first floor. Both have their own ensuite bathrooms and both have access to the panoramic first floor terrace.

The pool is open to guests from 25th March to 28th October.
The nearest beach is about ten minutes away by foot. The walk downhill is fairly simple, although the return up to the villa is a little more strenuous. Adventurous guests enjoy the ascent through the olive grove up to the villa. However, we do not recommend this walk for guests with young children, and we always advise wearing sturdy shoes, rather than sandals, when reaching the beach. There are many other beaches close by, the closest of which is five minutes away by car.
