Sospesa

The outdoor space at Sospesa will enchant you from the moment you arrive. A stylish shady veranda encircles the villa on two sides, affording incredible views out across the countryside and out to sea. One part of the veranda has comfortable outdoor sofas perfect for a quiet moment away from the hot Sicilian sun. The other area has a beautiful dining table where you can enjoy al fresco meals. Just around the corner is the beautiful pool. The pool's location gives the sensation that it is floating above the countryside below! Descending the steps beside the pool, you will also find the laundry area in the outdoor grounds. You can unwind on one of the sunloungers that surround the pool, or gaze out across the magnificent views.

Sospesa has a beautifully furnished open-plan living area. At one end of the room is a comfy sitting area with three sofas. Two French windows bring in light and offer sea views. The middle of the room is dedicated to the modern kitchen and breakfast bar. Beyond this is the dining table with another French door that looks out to the sea.

There are five ensuite bedrooms, all on the ground floor. These welcoming rooms can all be accessed either from the living area or from outside. Three of these bedrooms have double beds. The other two rooms have twin beds. All have their own bathrooms; one has a bath, whilst the other four are equipped with showers.

Beaches

The area near Cefalù has some incredible beaches. Cefalù itself has a long sandy beach, right in town, where you can either rent sunloungers, or lounge directly on the beach with a view of the cathedral in the distance. Mazzaforno and Settefrati are two other beaches close by that have a traditional feel and a laid-back feel. Sant’Ambrogio has beautifully clear water, and Finale di Pollina is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The beach at Castel di Tusa is a Blue Flag beach so it is ideal for a carefree day by the sea. 

Towns & Sights 

You can easily spend time in Cefalù whilst staying at Sospesa. One of Sicily’s most beautiful seaside towns, Cefalù delights anyone who visits. Don’t miss the impressive cathedral set in a beautiful piazza, or a stroll through the narrow streets. There are also great restaurants with sea views where you can eat fantastic food. Castel di Tusa is a pretty seaside town and the Fiumara d’Arte land sculpture trail is in the area. Visit the monumental works of art set in the beautiful countryside. The Madonie Mountains also are worth visiting, for the hiking trails as well as charming towns like Castelbuono. 

Activities 

For a real treat, book an in-villa cook serve where a local cook will prepare a meal for you in the comfort of the villa. Out of the villa, there are so many options! See the sights on a private tour of Cefalù and Castelbuono, or book a boat trip along the coastline. Both experiences will give you an incredible understanding of the local area. If you want to learn about the food culture, a Street Food tour in Palermo is a great idea, or a wine tour of a local winery where you can taste the wines are superb choices.
