Disia

Disia is set in a large, mature garden with many shady spots, large trees and a lush, verdant atmosphere. Slightly away from the villa, and surrounded by a hedge and a small gate for extra security is the wonderful pool area. Surrounded by beautiful plants, the pool is large and has sunloungers dotted around the edge, as well as umbrellas and seating areas. There is also a children's play area that will keep the kids occupied! Next to the villa is a lovely veranda with an outdoor dining table and outdoor sofas. The barbecue is close by where you can cook nightly feasts of fresh, Sicilian produce.

Simple, yet with all you need for your holiday, Disia is a villa where you can truly relax. Walk straight into the bright living area. This open-plan space has comfy sofas set around a TV area which leads to the dining area and the modern kitchen. French windows near the dining table provide light and lead out to the garden, whilst another set of French windows from the kitchen take you directly to the veranda with its outdoor dining table. A hallway set off the living area leads to two double bedrooms which share a bathroom with a shower.

Taking the stairs to the first floor you will arrive in a hallway. This floor has three further bedrooms: two double bedrooms with access to their own balconies overlooking the garden; and a twin bedroom which can be converted to a double. There are two shared bathrooms - one with a shower and one with a bath.

Beaches

Disia is so close to Mondello’s sandy beach that you could just go there every day, but there are many other beaches nearby. Capo Gallo Nature Reserve is next to Mondello and is simply beautiful. Cefalù to the east is world famous for its beach right in town and is a great day out. Further afield Lo Zingaro has a series of rocky bays to discover. Pack a picnic and hike to the most beautiful! Or choose San Vito lo Capo’s large sandy bay as a beach destination with a wealth of sunloungers and umbrellas to rent for the day. 

Towns & Sights 

Sicily’s capital city, Palermo, is very close to the villa. Visit this bustling city and enjoy its unique atmosphere, the colourful markets, the great food, and the top-class museums. Monreale with its UNESCO-recognised mosaics is also close and should not be missed. Cefalù is slightly further away, but is worth it for the charming town centre and imposing cathedral, whilst Castelbuono is up in the mountains and is famous for its local food. Head west and visit Trapani and Marsala where some of the best sunsets on the island can be found, as well as world-famous wines. 

Activities 

The best way to get to know the area is a private tour of Palermo and Monreale, with a focus on the Arab-Norman architecture that is unique to the area. If you’re more interested in food then a Street Food tour in Palermo is a fantastic choice. You could also see the island from the sea during a boat trip where you’ll stop off in gorgeous bays for a swim or a snorkel! If you just want to relax in the villa, you could also organise an in-villa cook service, or even an in-villa cookery lesson.
