Principato

Outdoor living is a delight at Principato: a large veranda wraps around the villa, offering a shady spot for al fresco living with amazing countryside views. A dining table and outdoor sofas are found under the veranda, making it a place you will spend a lot of time. The barbecue is close by for great family meals together. The pool area is set slightly below the villa, accessed through a gate for extra security. You can relax on the sunloungers that surround the pool. The panoramic views from the garden are extraordinary.

Principato has an attractive and traditional look that will feel like home straight away. Walk straight into the living area with a characteristic fireplace, exposed stone walls, and a comfy sitting area. The kitchen has a distinct Sicilian feel with its décor and farmhouse dining table, and has all you could need during your holiday. Four bedrooms are found off the living area. There are three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Two bathrooms are shared by all the bedrooms. The final bedroom is accessible directly from outside. This room has twin beds (can be converted to a double) and its own ensuite bathroom with shower.

Beaches

Drive down to the coast  from Principato, and you will be rewarded by some beautiful beaches to explore. Settefrati and Mazzaforno are both lovely beaches on the north coast where you can relax, have fun under the sun, and enjoy watching local life on the beach. Cefalù is a famous sandy beach and is very popular. Rent sunloungers and umbrellas, or set up in a free area and have a great day by the sea. Or you could head to Finale di Pollina. This pebbly beach is so relaxed that you will feel your cares disappear as soon as you arrive. 

Towns & Sights 

With its countryside position, Principato is ideal for getting to know inland Sicily. Petralia Soprana is the closest town. Make sure you try some of the local restaurants that serve incredible food. The Madonie Mountain range is fun to explore, with both lovely hiking trails and pretty towns to visit. Don’t miss Gangi with its amazing views, or Castelbuono during your holiday in Sicily. Heading down to the coast you should visit Cefalù with its Arab-Norman cathedral. Or, head further inland and visit Enna with its ancient castle, charming town centre, and fantastic views over the countryside. 

Activities 

Treat yourself to a cook service at the villa. A local cook will prepare a meal for you – all you have to do is enjoy! Or take part in a cookery lesson in the villa where you’ll learn the tricks of the trade and have some Sicilian recipes to take home with you. For an adventure, book a coast trip along the coast line, or make your way to Palermo for a Street Food tour in the city’s historic centre.
