Parmina

The garden is divided into two levels. The main outdoor living space on the upper level is around the spectacular pool. Alongside the pool area, with its dazzling coastal views, there is a lovely outdoor dining area with table and chairs and, behind that, a barbecue area with a wood-burning oven where you can make your own pizzas. A four-person jacuzzi is situated next to the pool.

Enjoy peace and quiet in the pretty plant-filled garden in the lower level of the outdoor space, accessed from the veranda on the villa's ground floor, and incorporating a charming seating area with stone benches.

You enter the villa on the first floor, with the large kitchen on your left. Well-equipped and decorated with colourful majolica floor tiles, the kitchen has convenient direct access to the outdoor terrace and pool area. Continuing on past the kitchen, there is a bathroom with shower and a single bedroom which opens out onto a lovely quiet sitting area.

Close by, the living room is split into a sitting area and separate dining space and large French windows let huge amounts of light into the already brightly-decorated room. The blue double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with bath is on this floor.

A spiral staircase leads down to the ground floor and onto a glass-roofed veranda that has been beautifully furnished with a carved stone table and long stone sofa. From here, you can access the colourful ensuite double bedroom and more classic double green bedroom with bathroom with shower. There is also another double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower.

Beaches

Parmina’s location in Taormina means visiting iconic Isola Bella beach is easy. Take the cable car down from Taormina’s centre and spend a day at this beautiful beach. With the gorgeous island in the middle of the bay, Isola Bella is simply stunning. There are many other beaches along the east coast of Sicily. Visit Giardini Naxos, Letojanni, or Santa Teresa di Riva for fun seaside towns with beaches, bars, restaurants, and chilled out atmospheres. Or make your way to the Riviera dei Ciclopi where you can find a series of beaches with crystal-clear waters.  

Towns & Sights 

Taormina is ever-popular thanks to its chic town centre, its amazing beach, and its historic sights like the Greek-Roman theatre. Spending time here is a dream come true where you can indulge in great food, do some serious shopping, or just simply relax. Catania is another town that should be on your itinerary. Sicily’s second town has it all: great restaurants, traditional markets, amazing architecture, and delicious food and wine. For a slower pace of life, visit the foothill towns of Mount Etna like Milo, Viagrande, and Trecastagni, or the coastal towns of the Riviera dei Ciclopi like Acireale and Aci Castello.

Activities 

Being so close to Mount Etna means you have to visit Europe’s highest volcano. A jeep tour that takes you to the summit is the best way to see the unique flora and fauna, and admire the lava flows and amazing views. For anyone with an interest in food and wine, a Street Food tour in Catania or a wine tour at a winery on Etna are the best choices. A private tour of Catania and Acireale will take you to the top sights of the area. Or, get your heart pumping with a quad tour of the gorgeous Alcantara Gorges!
