Oro Blu

At the main entrance to the villa there is a large covered veranda, furnished with a dining table and chairs. Next to this is a built-in barbecue and another smaller coffee table with comfortable seating overlooking the lawn. A small water feature sits at the foot of the stairs.

The pool area is set behind the villa, walled on one side for shade and added privacy, with plenty of sunbeds and a fantastic chromatic shower. A decked area, furnished with table and chairs and a large umbrella, provides a tremendous viewing point of the coastline and is the ultimate spot for al fresco lunches. The recently-built pool has a hydro-massage system and is surrounded by decking and a well-kept lawn.

Access to the villa is up a few steps, via the covered veranda, and directly into the living room which has comfortable sofas at one end and a separate dining area with a dining table and chairs, and open fireplace. A compact but well-equipped kitchen leads directly off the dining area. The first of the three double bedrooms is on the ground floor, with French windows that lead out to the rear part of the barbecue area, slightly screened by planted shrubs, and with a small table and chairs – perfect for a peaceful early morning coffee! Next door to the bedroom is a bathroom with shower.

Stairs lead from the living room to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms, each with French windows. One leads to a terrace with views of the bay and the other leads to the pool area. One double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower; the second has a bathroom with bath and shower next door.

Beaches

Oro Blu is close to some wonderful beaches along Sicily’s north coast. Trabia is just below the villa, and Lido Sporting is a great lido where you can rent sunloungers and umbrellas. Mazzaforno and Settefrati are chilled-out beaches nearby. Cefalù is also close. Cefalù’s beach is incredible, found right in the town, and has free areas and comfortable lidos. A quiet, pebbly beach in the area that’s great for a day by the sea is found in Castel di Tusa. Or, if you prefer sandy beaches and chic bars, head to Mondello, Palermo’s preferred beach!

Towns & Sights

Oro Blu has a strategic location and is perfect for exploring north Sicily. Head east towards Cefalù and visit this picturesque town. Between the piazza with its amazing cathedral, its narrow streets with bars and restaurants, and its fantastic beach, Cefalù really has it all! Castelbuono is above Cefalù in the Madonie mountains. Head up and enjoy the fresh air and amazing food. Further east are some smaller seaside towns like Castel di Tusa and Santo Stefano di Camastra. Palermo is west of Oro Blu. Visit Sicily’s capital and fall for the city’s vibrant charm, its colourful markets, and impressive architecture. Monreale and its mosaics also should not be missed.
