Figurella

The outside space at Figurella is wonderful. Walk into the pretty garden and take in the view. Descend some steps to the pool area, surrounded by sunloungers, making it a great place to relax and soak up the sun. Next to the pool is a charming covered area with a jacuzzi and a sauna for extra relaxation! Climb the outdoor steps up to the main house. A beautiful terrace is great for unwinding, and there is a shady table that is ideal for leisurely breakfasts. The highlight is the wonderful outdoor kitchen with its own pizza oven and dining area. The garden also has an outdoor shower for freshening up and a ping pong table for fierce competitions!

The villa is made up of two separate areas. Walk through the French windows from the garden into the lower ground floor apartment. There's a small living area and a kitchen that is great for preparing breakfast and snacks. This area has two bedrooms - one double and one convertible twin - as well as a shared bathroom with a shower. This area is not best suited for tall guests as the ceilings are slightly low.

The main house is up one floor, accessible only from the garden. The main entrance is from the outdoor kitchen and leads straight into the open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen has all you could need and the living area is bright, spacious and airy. The ground floor also has a bathroom with shower. Walk up the staircase to the first floor where you will find the bedrooms and a family bathroom with a shower. The master bedroom has sea views looking out over the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea. The other two bedrooms are both singles, one of which has a sea view too.

Beaches

It’s easy to spend every day at the beach at Figurella! You’re close to some of north Sicily’s best beaches. Mazzaforno and Settefrati are very close to the villa, as is Cefalù’s sandy beach right in town. Pick any of these for lazy days where you can swim, sunbathe, or just chill out! Castel di Tusa has a Blue Flag beach with amazingly clear water and great facilities. Finale di Pollina is another great option. It is quiet and peaceful and perfect for getting away from it all and swimming in crystal clear water. 

Towns & Sights 

Cefalù is the closest big town to Figurella. It’s easy to see why it is so popular with visitors, as there’s a charming atmosphere, atmospheric narrow streets, a gorgeous beach, and an incredible cathedral. Plus you will find many exceptional bars and restaurants. For a breath of fresh air head up to Castelbuono in the Madonie Mountains, or if you want small seaside towns visit Santo Stefano di Camastra or Castel di Tusa. Palermo – Sicily’s capital – is also not far from the villa and has to be seen to be believed with its vibrant markets and great museums. 

Activities 

The best way to get to know the area is a private tour. Enjoy a tour of the Arab-Norman architecture of Palermo and Monreale, or Cefalù and Castelbuono and see the seaside and the mountains on the same day. For foodies, a Street Food tour in Palermo is great, or perhaps a cookery lesson at a cook school in Palermo. Also, a boat tour along the coast is a fantastic option for diving into the clear water in picturesque bays.
