Covid-19 Terms & Conditions of Villatravellers S.r.l.

With so much uncertainty in the world right now, we want you to feel even more confident in booking your holiday with Villatravellers.

For bookings made after 24th March 2021 our new, even-more flexible Covid-19 cancellation policy will be in effect.


The new Covid-19 Cancellation policy applies if travel is impossible due to:

- Travel restrictions in Italy or in the client's home country;

- Infection of the main booking representative or someone who lives with them;

- Lockdown in Italy or in the client's home country;

- Mandatory quarantine upon arrival in Italy or upon return to the client's home country.


If cancellation takes place more than 30 days before arrival, clients are can choose:

  • To change the booking dates;
  • To receive a full refund of the amount paid;
  • To receive a voucher for the amount paid.


If cancellation takes place within 30 days of arrival, clients are can choose:

  • To change their booking dates;
  • To receive a voucher for the amount paid.


The voucher:

  • Is non-refundable;
  • Must be used to book the same villa (until 31st December 2022 for 2021; until 31st December 2023 for 2022 bookings);
  • Can be used to book any period, by paying the difference in price, if applicable;
  • Can be gifted to a friend if the booking representative is unable to use it within the stated time frame.

To meet the needs of our clients, all the villas in the Villatravellers catalogue offer these flexible cancellation terms, with the exceptions of Hydra and Nadira, which adhere to our standard cancellation terms.


We want to reassure you that all of our villas are sanitised before each arrival. Villa staff follow protocol in keeping with national Covid-19 regulations.

Covid-19 FAQs

There are not restrictions but I don’t want to travel. Can I get a refund?

If there are no travel restrictions in place at the time of your booking, but you decide not to travel, our normal cancellation policy applies. A refund is not usually offered, but check our Terms & Conditions for full details.


Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is vital and we recommend that all guests who book with Villatravellers buy comprehensive travel insurance.


Do I have to pay the balance?

The balance must be paid 60 days before your arrival. If you choose to cancel before the balance is due, our normal Terms & Conditions apply.


Why can’t I have a refund after 30 days before my arrival?

We have contracts in place with property owners which need to be respected. 30 days before the arrival date is the moment in which these contracts are fulfilled, and therefore due to this, after this date we are not able to offer a refund.


Can I use my voucher to book a different villa to my original booking?

Your voucher can only be used to book the same villa as your original booking, but at a different date. It is not possible to book a different villa with your voucher.


If I use my voucher for a different time of the year to my original booking does the price remain the same?

If you book the same period as your original booking, the price will remain the same, as Villatravellers have guaranteed 2021 prices for anyone booking in 2022. However, if you choose a different time of year (perhaps during the high season) when the price bracket is different, you would need to pay the difference.


What happens if one of my group can't travel due to Covid-19 related reasons?

These Covid-19 flexible cancellation terms are only valid if the Booking Representative or someone who lives with them cannot travel due to Covid-19. If another member of the group cannot travel for reasons linked to Covid-19, the booking will go ahead and no voucher will be offered.


What if I can't use my voucher in 2022?

Your voucher is valid until 31st December 2022 and it is non refundable, but you can gift it to a friend if you do not want to use it yourself.


I made my booking before March 2021. What cancellation terms do I have?

If you made your booking before March 2021, please check your emails with Villatravellers. There should be all the details needed there. If you have any doubts, get in touch with us!

What should I do if my flights are cancelled?

Firstly get in touch with the airline to see if you are eligible for a refund from them, or from your insurance company. We also suggest that you look for alternative flights to Sicily.
