La Balata

Villa La Balata has charming outdoor space with unforgettable views! The swimming pool is surrounded by sunloungers, sun umbrellas, and a seating area. Next to the villa is a stylish veranda with outdoor sofas and a dining table. This is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco meals and to take in the mesmerising views. There is also a wonderful brick barbecue where you can cook up a storm on a daily basis! There is also a terrace on the first floor furnished with sofas and sunloungers where you can relax and look out to the sea.

The villa has a relaxed but stylish feel with high-quality furnishings and decorations found throughout offering the utmost comfort. The ground floor has a beautiful open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the terrace and out to sea. There is a comfy sitting area, a dining table and a modern kitchen with all the equipment you could need. On the ground floor there is also one double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom which has direct access to the garden via French windows.

A staircase takes you up to the first floor where there are three further bedrooms. A double bedroom (can be converted to twin beds) has its own ensuite bedroom and access to a terrace with sea views. There is also a twin room with ensuite bathroom that also leads directly to the terrace. A further double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower is also on this level. All bedrooms are bright, welcoming and comfortable.

Beaches

Settefrati and Mazzaforno beaches are both close to the villa, and both are ideal for leisurely days by the sea with friends and family. Cefalù’s sandy beach is world-famous and should be the location of at least one beach day during your holiday in Sicily. Either set up in a free area, or rent sunloungers and umbrellas. Sant’Ambrogio is another great option in the area with its crystal-clear waters. Finale di Pollina and Castel di Tusa are other beaches along the coast. Both with pebbly beaches, Tusa is also a Blue Flag beach with guaranteed facilities and amazing water quality. 

Towns & Sights 

Visit Cefalù and stroll through its narrow streets, stopping off at one of the great bars or restaurants, then visit the imposing cathedral, and then the beach. Or walk up La Rocca for amazing views! Castelbuono also has amazing views. This hilltop town in the Madonie Mountains also has a fantastic food culture, so book lunch or dinner at a local restaurant! Castel di Tusa and Santo Stefano di Camastra are two traditional seaside towns. They are also home to some of the land sculptures of the Fiumara d’Arte. Jump into the car and try to see them all. 

Activities 

A boat tour along the coast is hard to resist. The north coast of Sicily is beautiful, so exploring it by boat is a real treat! You could also book a private tour that takes you to Castelbuono and Cefalù during which you can see the best sights of the area with ease. If you love food and wine, this area will not disappoint. Visit a local winery and book a tour, or enjoy a Street Food tour in Palermo to get to know Sicily’s capital city. Or, if you want to relax at the villa, arrange an in-villa cook service and enjoy a delicious Sicilian meal at home.
