Ninfea

The pool and garden are wonderful, with large expanses of lawn and several eating areas. The saltwater pool is longer than most villa pools, with a hydrojet and fantastic lighting system, and surrounded by a lovely paved area. A hammock is found, perfectly positioned between two trees, for complete relaxation. Overlooking all of this splendour is a large shaded veranda, with table and chairs, just outside the villa. A separate dining area near the pool basks in the shade of a gazebo and has a built-in brick barbecue and an outdoor kitchen. There is also an outdoor bathroom. Children and adults alike will also be thrilled with the table football, table tennis and games found in the garden.

Enter via the terrace directly into the simple but pleasant living/dining room, with a sofa and table and chairs. From here, an archway leads through to the kitchen and close by, the attractive modern bathroom which has a large shower cubicle. The spacious double bedroom and more compact bunk bedroom both overlook the pool and garden.

Beaches

A beach holiday is definitely on the cards at Ninfea. There are so many beaches near the villa to enjoy. San Marco is very close and is the perfect location for a relaxed day by the sea. Another relaxed beach in the area is Eraclea Minoa – a lovely sandy beach fringed by pine trees with a small beach bar. Porto Palo di Menfi is a Blue Flag beach with cool, shallow waters and great facilities. Torre Salsa Nature Reserve is a paradise of nature with long swathes of sand, whilst Scala dei Turchi is unique with its white cliffs creating a gorgeous backdrop.

Towns & Sights

South-west Sicily has a lovely selection of small towns and villages, as well as larger towns to explore. Seccagrande is a small seaside town with a lovely beach and an authentic atmosphere. Menfi is also not too far. This small town has sea views and a great wine-growing culture. Ribera is small and authentic and is famous for its oranges and strawberries. Marzara del Vallo is a port town with great restaurants and a kasbah. Plus, Ninfea is close to Agrigento, famous for the Valley of the Temples archaeology park that can’t be missed.
