Nido degli Ulivi

Enter the villa through a small orange grove that is surrounded by a drystone wall, that anticipates the style and feel of the Nido degli Ulivi. 

The bright conservatory, which can be heated or cooled, is the main living area that creates a unique environment between outside and inside. The furniture is a mix of rustic elements, like the table and the recycled cement flooring, and contemporary design, like the modern sofa, and creates a charming and unique atmosphere. The windows look out over the saltwater swimming pool surrounded by olive trees. 

The barbecue and the wooden dining table are underneath a beautiful tree and is the ideal area for sharing great meals together, as is the panoramic terrace where you can see incredible sunsets. 

Nido degli Ulivi takes you back to carefree summers. The interior of the villa is beautifully rustic and chic, and is set over a single floor (apart from the terrace), making it almost fully accessible. 

The living area has an evocative countryside style, with rustic furnishings in delicate colours, mixed with modern comforts such as the induction hob in the kitchen that faces the old oven area. You can reach the terrace from the kitchen via an internal staircase. 

There are two double bedrooms, one which a shared door to a third bedroom which has two single beds, making this ideal for a family. Each bedroom has access to the garden, and has its own bathroom with a shower. 

Lamia degli Aromi and Nido degli Aranci are both close to Nido degli Ulivi and can be booked with Villatravellers. For a large group holiday, book all three villas and enjoy a holiday in Puglia for up to 16 people. 

Beaches

The villa has a wonderfully strategic position that allows you to enjoy days by the beach, relaxing on the fine sand that Puglia’s coast is known for. Marina di Ostuni is only a few kilometres away, as are the famous beaches Quarto di Monte and Torre Pozzelle which has cliffs ideal for diving off into clear water. Don’t forget Torre Guaceto beach, slightly to the north of the nature reserve of the same name, which has shallow waters making it ideal for children. 

Sights

Ostuni, the “White City” is only a few kilometres from Nido degli Ulivi. This famous town - much loved by VIPs - with its white buildings and vibrant streets, offers amazing views over the Valle d’Itria. Visiting UNESCO-recogised Alberobello, Martina Franca, Fasano, Cisternino, and Locorotondo is also a must, all of which are easily reachable from the villa through the beautiful countryside dotted with trulli. Heading north along the coast, you will find Monopoli with its picturesque town centre. 

Activities

The Grotte di Castellana, one of the most important karstic caves in Europe, is just over half an hour away. Over 3km long, these caves have a contsant temperature (16°C) with incredible stalagmites and stalactites creating a magical natural scene that is absolutely unmissable, and is also ideal for children. 

Puglian food is a mixture of unique and genuine flavours. As well as the classics, like orecchiette pasta that is usually served with cime di rapa, make sure you also try “bombette” that are irresistible! Finally, enjoy a horse ride through the countryside at the nearby stable.
