Mutica

Set deep in south-east Sicilian countryside, Mutica has wonderful outside space for you to enjoy. The pool is a highlight, where you can cool off from the Sicilian sun. The pool has LED lights creating a magical atmosphere at night. Around the pool there are sunloungers perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Table tennis is available for those with a competitive spirit and an outdoor dining table and barbecue are perfect for al fresco evenings under a starry sky. There is also a charming stone courtyard, with an outdoor seating area that is a great location to relax, enjoy a glass of wine or a quiet moment with family and friends. The villa has a large, private on-site parking area.

Beautifully refurbished, Villa Mutica is a perfect for large groups. The main property is centred around a characteristic courtyard. Enter into the large, light filled dining room, with a glass wall looking out over the swimming pool. There is also a TV area in this spacious room, as well as a bar that is ideal for your morning coffee! Just off this communal space is a cosy reading room where you can chill out in the cool. The villa has a large, industrial kitchen for use of the on-site professional chef only.

Across the courtyard are four stylish bedrooms - each with their own ensuite bathrooms and facilities. Stylishly furnished – combining modernity and tradition – these rooms offer privacy and comfort. One bedroom is larger than the others, with its own mezzanine where two single beds can be added, making it ideal for a young family.

Slightly set apart from the main courtyard are the other bedrooms. This building, which was once the farm's stables, now overlooks the pool and is made up of five lovely double ensuite bedrooms. There is the option of creating one two-bedroom apartment (with interlocking doors) which would work well for a family travelling with teenagers or children.

All bedrooms at Mutica have their own televisions, mini fridges and bar, ensuring the utmost comfort.

Beaches

Sampieri is a quiet town with a beach that is great for families, as is Marina di Modica with its pizzerias and bars. If you love watersports then visit Pozzallo. This sandy beach is a haven for windsurfers and kitesurfers from all over the world. Vendicari Nature Reserve is a protected area and has wild stretches of sand that you can enjoy in complete peace. For smaller bays dotted with sea stacks, pick either Ciriga, Santa Maria del Focallo, or Porto Ulisse. Or for a unique experience, head to Isola delle Correnti, where two seas meet and where you can walk to a small island. 

Towns & Sights 

The Val di Noto is yours to explore when staying at Mutica. These Baroque towns are simply beautiful with their ornate architecture. Visit Modica and try the unique local chocolate. Sit at a bar with a granita in front of Noto’s gorgeous honey-coloured cathedral. Pick a piazza in Scicli and enjoy a gourmet meal, or get lost in Ragusa Ibla’s winding streets. Marzamemi is a small seaside town with a pretty piazza and lovely views to be enjoyed. Siracusa shouldn’t be missed. You’ll love the town centre, the sea views, the archaeology park, and the fun market. 

Activities 

A private tour is the best way to see all the best sights. Choose from a tour of Siracusa and Noto, or Ragusa and Modica, and visit the most important places in these four beautiful towns. You could also decide to visit a local winery. This area of Sicily produces some fantastic wines, and so a tour and tasting is always a great idea. If you prefer to get out in the Sicilian sunshine, book a boat trip. You’ll set sail along the coastline and spend a leisurely day on board, with ample time to stop off and dive into the azure waters.
