The villa is found just a few minutes from Sicily’s south coast, and near the Baroque towns of the Val di Noto as well as many filming locations for the hit TV series Inspector Montalbano such as Fornace Penna and Donnafugata castle. Whether you want to explore the architectural gems of southern Sicily, spend time on pristine beaches, or just relax in the idyllic surroundings of the villa, Corte della Rocca ticks all the boxes.
Corte della Rocca’s outside areas will enchant you from the moment you arrive. The villa’s traditional style with characteristic stone walls creates a wonderful environment for your holiday. The front of the villa has a large terrace with sea views, whilst the back of the villa looks over the lush Mediterranean garden. The main terrace that looks out over the countryside and out to sea has a shady area with dining tables and also a comfortable sitting area where you can enjoy the magnificent views every evening.
The pool area is set below the villa. The infinity pool offers panoramic views of the countryside below - including the Fornace Penna made famous by Montalbano - and out to the sea. There are several sunloungers and sun umbrellas set around the pool; a perfect place to relax under the sun. Two gazebos are also set beside the pool, giving an area of shade for relaxation.
Corte della Rocca is set over three floors, giving guests space and privacy. The villa has a peaceful atmosphere that is ideal for relaxation. Traditional stone walls and stylish furnishings are found throughout. Much of the furniture is locally-made by skilled artisans, adding an authentic countryside Sicilian feel to the property.
Walk in through the arched main doorway into the living area where you’ll find two large French windows leading to the terrace with sea views. With a wooden dining table, a comfortable sofa, and a characteristic stone fireplace, this area is ideal for quiet moments and leisurely breakfasts. From the living area you can reach the industrial-style kitchen, and also a small guest bathroom.
The ground floor has seven bedrooms, all with private access from outside. There are three double bedrooms with sea views at the front of the property. Three bedrooms are found at the back of the property with views over the garden. A triple bedroom - with a double and a single bed - is to the side of the property and has sea views. This room is ideal for families. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with a shower, and have a unique style with meticulous attention to detail.
There are three further bedrooms on the lower ground floor. Each of these bedrooms have double beds, and their own bathrooms with modern showers. They lead to the garden’s lower level via French windows where there are sunloungers and sea views.
Two more double bedrooms are found on the first floor. You can reach this floor using an external staircase that reaches a small terrace with panoramic views. Both of these bedrooms under the villa’s characteristic wooden eaves have double beds, ensuite bathrooms, and outstanding sea views.

The villa’s caretaker and his wife who manages the villa’s cleaning service and breakfast service live at the property, and are available should guests have any problems until to 2:00 pm.
An in-villa cook service is available upon request, and has an extra cost.
A dog and a cat live at Corte della Rocca. They do not enter into the villa itself, but are present in the garden and external spaces.
