Oniro

The wonderful garden really sets villa Oniro apart. The veranda with a bamboo roof is divided into a dining area with a table, and a sitting area with sofas. It looks out over the infinity pool with sun loungers, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower. There is also a 1.5 hectare garden with Mediterranean plants where relaxation is guaranteed thanks to the large hammock. A small path leads from the pool to the jacuzzi with a wood heating system, a little corner of paradise. On the other side there is another area with a large table, an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, and a play area with a ping-pong table, boules terrain, and even a projector screen for outdoor film showings in the summer. 

Main House

The Main House, renovated with a mix of rustic and modern styles, charms thanks to its beauty. The villa is set over two floors. There is a bright living area on the ground floor, with an open-plan kitchen, fireplace, and benches. It looks outside thanks to the large French doors on both sides of the villa. There are three double bedrooms that are accessed from the living area, all with air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and direct access outside. There are two further double bedrooms with air-conditioning on the lower floor. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a large shower, making it ideal for families with children. 

Guest House

The Guest House - the old Lamia - has a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. Surrounded by the garden, it offers privacy and tranquility. 

Beaches

Oniro has a strategic position in the Puglian countryside, close to charming towns, but also beautiful beaches. Marina di Ostuni - a 20km stretch of coast - is 20 minutes’ away by car. Torre Pozzelle is one of the most famous areas, with alternating beaches, bays, and rocky coves. Don’t miss Torre Guaceto beach, with the nature reserve that surrounds it with sandy dunes and Mediterranean scrub brush. It’s like you are swimming in a natural swimming pool! 

Towns & Sights

Ostuni, “The White City” is just a kew kilometres from the villa. This charming town with its whitewashed buildings and bustling streets, offers and incredible panoramic view over the Valle d’Itria and the sea. Don't miss Carovigno either. This ancient town has beautiful piazzas, narrow streets, and ancient monuments, including Castello Dentice di Frasso (named after the last nobleman who lived there). Ceglie Messapica is also unmissable thanks to its labyrinth of streets and courtyards, arches and palaces, with the Castello Ducale dominating the town. 

Activities

It’s easy to enjoy a tour of the Valle d’Itria from villa Oniro, including Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Alberobello, and Cisternino, with just a half hours’ drive between the towns and the trulli in the countryside. Trying the gastronomic specialities of each town is also a must: try bombette in Cisternino, capocollo in Martina Franca, or the Puglian classic, orecchiette con le cime di rapa! Don’t forget the area’s wines; the area is famous for white wines including Verdena al Bianco d’Alessano.
