Owned by an aristocratic Sicilian family, Barresa combines the timeless charm of a Sicily of bygone days with modern comfort and convenience. One of our finest villas and just 30 km from Catania, the villa is tailor-made for a special celebration or big gathering.
Located in the heart of an extensive estate and citrus plantation in Lentini near Siracusa, Barresa overlooks a magnificent private garden and pool. The villa's setting is so evocative, as is the villa's traditional style. Barresa is an unforgettable and magical villa.
Framed by towering palm trees and tropical plants, a large pool is surrounded by extensive well-tended lawns, dotted here and there with secluded corners and stone benches. A huge veranda, with comfy chairs, coffee tables and a dining table, extends along the complete width of the ground floor of the villa, providing a lovely shady spot.
At the opposite end of the pool, a gorgeous gazebo - furnished with comfy outdoor furniture - adds a wonderful touch of decadence to the garden. To best appreciate the garden, gaze out from the magnificent first floor terrace which wraps round the whole villa and has sweeping views over the citrus plantation.
The ground floor of the property has a large living room and a separate, elegant dining room with antique furniture. A bathroom with a shower is also found on the ground floor. There is a second large living room, with an open fireplace.
The grand staircase leads to the first floor. On the left side of the corridor two double bedrooms share a bathroom (with bath and shower). On the right side there are three further double bedrooms which all share one bathroom, equipped with a shower. The large terrace, overlooking the pool, can be reached from all the bedrooms.
